BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The 2008 inaugural edition of Who's Who in America's Credit Unions will be dedicated to Representatives Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.) and Steve LaTourette (R-Ohio).
The dedication occurs on the 10-year anniversary of the Credit Union Membership Access Act that Kanjorski and LaTourette co-authored. The inaugural edition will be issued in May.
"Leadership is the theme of the Who's Who program," said Dennis Dollar, Editorial Advisory Board Chairman. "The dedication of the inaugural edition to these two outstanding congressional leaders who have truly stepped forward and made a positive difference for our movement is something we are proud of. It reflects the value of leadership, as do the over 8,800 inductees into Who's Who."
There were 8,811 inductees into the recognition publication validated by the Who's Who Editorial Advisory Board based upon their accomplishments and service of a minimum five years or other compensating experience to the credit union movement.
