SAN DIMAS, Calif. — OnDeck with Dwight Johnston, a weekly podcast produced by Overland Studios and presented by Western Federal Credit Union, has been selected over 14,000 entries as a bronze Telly Award winner in two categories, nonprofit and education. The Telly Awards honor the year's best work from advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments.
Johnston's podcast offers an eight to 10-minute summary of the past week's market and financial events, along with a look at those that are scheduled to occur or “on deck” for the week to come. The series, launched in June 2007, is distributed weekly through iTunes and WesCorp's own Internet site (www.wescorp.org). It can also be accessed by telephone.
Walt Laskos, WesCorp's director of Public Relations and producer of OnDeck with Dwight Johnston, pointed to Dwight's unique expertise as the reason for the accolade.
“I believe Dwight is more of a market psychologist than a market analyst. He's in-tune with its mindset and emotions, and credit union audiences are thirsting for this level of expertise.” Laskos said.
