WASHINGTON — CUNA held its 74th annual general meeting at GAC on March 3 that reflected on how far credit unions have come, and how much is yet to come.

Outgoing Chairman Allan McMorris praised the membership growth task force for developing strategies to address the issue of declining growth that has existed since the 1980s. "They've done a terrific job so far," McMorris said.

McMorris also urged credit unions to join together in political action on Capitol Hill. "The movement is best served when we speak with one voice, one voice on Capitol Hill. Not that we don't have our differences but we should discuss that at home and have one voice on Capitol Hill."
