VERNON HILLS, Ill. — Baxter Credit Union is mourning the loss of Vice President of Wealth Management John J.R. Ridge, who died at the age of 48.
Prior to joining Baxter CU Ridge spent 17 years working for CUNA Mutual Group.
Devoting his career to the credit union industry and improving the financial lives of others, Ridge's work included the creation of innovative wealth
management programs, advisor development, and sales management.
He began as a financial advisor at CUNA Mutual in 1987, working his way up to division management in 1994. Most recently, he headed up BCU Investment Advisors, which manages a $200 million asset portfolio and serves 2,500 clients.
He survived by his wife, Marla; sons Rick and Kirk; three sisters; his mother; and several nieces and nephews.
