GERMANTOWN, Md. — There's a new look and feel on Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union's Web site (www.mafcu.org).

Designed to be more user-friendly, the new site also focuses on consumer education and now includes educational features to help members reach their financial goals.

For financial information and guidance, visitors can click on the “Learning Center” which features educational financial articles and tips categorized by life stages. Topics range from how to establish good financial habits–featuring advice on managing checking accounts, budgeting basics, and building good credit for younger members–to taking the mystery out of reverse mortgages, estate planning and managing retirement plan distributions for retirees.

The site also houses a “Financial Tips” section, which features a new Financial Health Planner. A new “Mortgage Center” offers information on mortgage saving tips and getting qualified for home loans. For business owners, a new “Small Business Resource Center” includes helpful tips on starting a small business, improving cash flow, and disaster recovery.
