WASHINGTON — NAFCU Services Corp. said it has added Digital Defense Inc. to its Preferred Partner program.

Digital Defense is a provider of information security risk assessments, vulnerability management solutions, and other compliance and security services.

“Assuring the security and integrity of sensitive data is mission-critical for credit unions. Identifying preferred partners with security-related solutions has been, and will continue to be, a major focus for NAFCU Services,” said David Frankil, president of NSC.

“With over 700 credit union clients, we understand the challenges associated with providing a secure environment for financial transactions while protecting members' confidential information,” said Larry Hurtado, president/CEO of Digital Defense in San Antonio, Texas.

“Our security solutions coupled with our Software as a Service technology also ease the burdens associated with regulatory compliance, allowing credit union management to spend more time focused on growth and other competitive business challenges,” he said.

Digital Defense is also staging what it calls the first Credit Union Extreme Hacker Challenge, which allows security professionals to emulate a hacker for a day. The event will take place at the NAFCU Technology and Security Conference, Feb. 25-28 in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood. For more information, visit www.nafcu.org/technology.
