NEW YORK — ACI Worldwide will be offering its business and consumer online banking clients the services of California-based mFoundry for mobile banking.
The companies said they plan to integrate mFoundry's Spotlight Financial Platform into ACI's Enterprise Banker online banking system.
In what the two companies call an industry first, they plan to develop business-user access to additional applications for alerts of time-critical transactions and notification and release of transactions awaiting approval. They said they also plan to develop mobile remittance to allow users to transfer funds globally in a variety of currencies via a handset.
Customers may also realize cost savings by reducing call center workflow through automated messaging and service alerts, the companies said.
"mFoundry partners with key players in the telecom and financial services industries resulting in a cross-platform, cross-carrier solution that provides the broadest device support available on the market," said Ralph Dangelmaier, president of ACI Worldwide Americas in New York, which provides banking, retail, and cross-industry systems to more than 800 clients in 84 countries.
Other mFoundry online banking partnerships have been announced recently with PSCU Financial Services, Fidelity National Information Services, and NCR.
mFoundry also said that Gary Norcross, president/chief operating officer of the Transaction Processing Services division of Fidelity National Information Services, has been appointed to mFoundry's board of directors.
