WASHINGTON — Despite continued doom and gloom from economic forecasters, CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is on pace to break attendance records, said Pat Keefe, vice president, communications and media outreach.
"We are seeing record attendance this year, around, or in excess of, 4,500," Keefe said, crediting this year's presidential and congressional elections, current legislative issues, and moving the event to the Washington Convention Center for the attendance boost.
Last week, California and Nevada Credit Union League CEO Bill Cheney said he was bringing a record contingency of 350 to D.C. this year, up from 275 last year.
