BOSSIER CITY, La. — After 24 years of leading Barksdale Federal Credit Union President/CEO Arno Easterly is retiring.

Easterly, who has dedicated some 48 years to serving the credit union industry, helped Barksdale FCU grow from $75 million to nearly $700 million in assets, increase staff from 75 to 300 and locations from two to 17. Prior to joining Barksdaly he was president/CEO of the Campus FCU at LSU. He's also the past chairman and an original incorporator of Credit Union Cooperative Branching, a group of 42 credit unions building and sharing branches and providing reciprocal member services.

Barksdale FCU didn't have to look too far to find Easterly's successor. Executive Vice President/Chief Operations Officer Rod Taylor has been selected as the new president/CEO.
