TAMPA, Fla. — Local public schools will receive more than $1.2 million in 2008 courtesy of the Suncoast for Schools Rewards Check Card.
Each time a Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union member uses the card for a signature-based credit transaction, five cents is donated to the Suncoast for Kids Foundation. All funds are earmarked for local public school initiatives in the 15 counties served by the credit union.
Individual school systems within the 15 county areas work with the Suncoast for Kids Foundation to determine how their disbursement can be put to the best use.

The Suncoast for Kids Foundation was created in 1998 and is sponsored entirely by the credit union with 100% of funds contributed to organizations and initiatives that assist children in the communities Suncoast Schools FCU serves.
