RICHARDSON, Texas — Texans Credit Union finished its 2007 fundraising campaign for United Way with a $225,206 donation.
During the one-week campaign, more than 245 employees participated and 33 individuals donated at the Leadership Society level with a minimum $1,000 donation. All employee contributions were matched dollar-for-dollar by the credit union. New to the campaign this year was the opportunity for members to contribute. All member contributions were matched $.50 for each dollar.
"Our employees here at Texans understand the importance of being good stewards in the community," said Texans President/CEO David Addison. "Contributing to United Way–an agency created to help our community and serve the greatest needs of our residents–is a natural choice for Texans, as it is an organization with values similar to our own.
