REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — San Mateo Credit Union has deployed integrated security appliances from Fortinet Inc. to secure its in-branch online transactions.

The 62,000-member CU is using the Sunnyvale company's FortiGate-60 appliances in its network of in-branch computers that allow members to online bank and surf the Internet.

Meanwhile, the Silicon Valley company's FortiGate-800 device is being used to provide Web content filtering, firewall, anti-virus and spam protection for internal network traffic at $613 million San Mateo CU. Another Fortinet solution is being used to manage the overall system.
