MANASSAS, Va. — Local businesses in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park here now have another business services option through Synergy One Federal Credit Union.
The $196 million Synergy One will launch three new business checking accounts, business VISA credit card with rewards, business loans, and merchant card services.
One of the biggest selling points is two of the three business checking accounts pay interest and dividends, the credit union said. Synergy One will also be implementing ACH origination and payroll processing in the near future.
"I believe we have a huge differentiation over the competition in our area," said Linda Darling Rodriguez, director of business development at Synergy One. "I think once the word gets out in our community that we offer our business members the ability to earn interest on their business checking accounts, the reaction will be tremendous."

Synergy One has a partnership with the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce to promote business development. According to the chamber, the population in Prince William County grew 133% from 2000 to 2005. Businesses here also grew 47% during the same time period.
The credit union serves more than 27,000 members.
