HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is calling on credit unions that have business lending programs for their input on its new Business Lending Academy.

The association recently announced that is in the initial planning stage for the academy, which is set to debut in 2008. To assist in curriculum development, PCUA is interested in speaking to credit unions that are either currently offering business lending services or plan to introduce those services in 2008, said Molly Snody, director of business advisory services.

“We recognize a variety of educational needs ranging from business services basics to complex commercial transactions,” Snody said. “The Association seeks to meet
those needs, with the aim of enhancing the safety and soundness of each credit union's program.”

Any credit union with an interest in business lending that would be willing to share their specific training needs and areas of interest is encouraged to contact Snody at [email protected], or call 800-932-0661, ext. 5209.
