ST. LOUIS — Neighbors Credit Union has promoted former Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Finance John Servos to President/CEO.

Servos will replace Larry Geising who will retire at the end of this year.

"After working directly with John for over nine years, I believe he has the knowledge and spirit to take Neighbors Credit Union to the next level of achievement for its members," said Geising.

Servos has been with the $200 million credit union since joining in 1998 as the vice president of compliance/audit services. He was promoted to CFO/ Vice President of Finance within a year.

Known for his engaging leadership style, Servos implemented new products and services, which increased member dividends and managed over $70 million in asset growth. In addition he consistently increased member value within the organization with strategic initiatives for branch site expansion and a name change that expanded the credit union's reach to untapped demographics.

According to Neighbors CU Board Chairman Adell Allen, Servos' understanding of the membership, leadership skills, innovative ideas and passion will help take the credit union to the next level.
