WASHINGTON — Sources have confirmed that the White House expects to shortly announce a nominee to replace NCUA Board Chairman JoAnn Johnson. Johnson's term on the board expired on Aug. 2 of this year.

Johnson has served on the board since November 2001 and as chairman since May of 2004. Johnson has yet to make a statement about her departure or future plans.
