SHREWSBURY, N.J.–Credit Union Times Senior Washington Reporter Sarah Snell Cooke will serve as interim editor while the search for a permanent editor continues.
Cooke has covered the Washington, D.C. news beat for Credit Union Times for more than seven years. Prior to that she spent just over a year writing for the Credit Union Regulatory Insider.
Since 1999, Cooke has been entrenched in the political, legislative, and regulatory issues impacting credit unions the most, providing on-site coverage of NCUA Board meetings, congressional hearings and other key credit union events. She has sat down one-on-one with key policymakers ranging from Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.) to NCUA Board members to the national trade association leaders.
Cooke resides with her family in Fulton, Md. but will be a frequent visitor to Credit Union Times' New Jersey office over the next few weeks.
November 30 is the last day for Credit Union Times Editor/Publisher Paul Gentile. He is leaving to take the corner office at the New Jersey Credit Union League.
