ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA Chairman JoAnn Johnson announced today that Jeremy Carl has been appointed associate director of external affairs.
Carl served on the White House staff from 2003 to 2007, most recently as deputy associate director in the Office of Presidential Scheduling, where he managed President George W. Bush's scheduling requests. He also previously worked as a legislative aide to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas).
"I am pleased to have Jeremy on staff at NCUA," Johnson said. "His experience from the White House and Capitol Hill will be valuable to the agency."
"He will be a vital component of the agency's strategic communications and public affairs initiatives and outreach," NCUA Director of Public and Congressional Affairs John McKechnie said.
Carl earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Presbyterian College in South Carolina, where he was captain of the tennis team. He is married to Melissa and resides in Alexandria.
