ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska USA Federal Credit Union has promoted Glenn Cipriano to president of its subsidiary, Alaska USA Trust Company.
Cipriano had been the trust company's vice president of institutional services since January 2006 and has more than 20 years experience in institutional trust and investment services, according to the credit union.
He succeeds Nancy Bear Usera, who has returned to her role as Alaska USA FCU's senior vice president of corporate development. Usera said she had been assigned president of the trust company since September 2005 to help “redefine and redesign” its business plan, staffing and operations. She said it was “always a temporary assignment to provide leadership during the transition” and she will continue to serve on the trust company's executive strategy team as she has since 1997 and work closely with its continued development.
Cipriano will be responsible for the full line of products and services available from Alaska USA Trust, which combines both institutional and personal trust services, and will continue to serve as the primary liaison for the custody and securities lending programs.
In related news, Sterling Sears has joined Alaska USA Trust as trust and investment services officer. Sears is responsible for assisting clients in identifying their individual investment goals and developing customized investment programs to meet their needs. He will also assist with trust account administration.
Alaska USA Trust has nearly $6 billion in assets under administration and more than $55 million in assets under management.
