SAN DIMAS, Calif. — Financial Service Centers Corporation, the national shared branching network which is headquartered on the West Coast, is celebrating today as the full compliment of 2,000 shared branching locations comes on line.
The network provides the location through VCom branded shared branching kiosks, which are located in 7-Eleven stores around the country. The Vcom units will provide members of credit unions that are shared branching participants with the ability to make all the transactions they would make a shared branch teller in a more convenient and faster way, FSCC said.
The shared branching network also made the point that the machines will run counter to the trend of increasing surcharges at ATMs, since all the Vcom transactions will be fee free to the member and that the locations of many of the 7-Eleven stores may help more CUs more effectively reach out to poorer and lower income communities.
