SANTA ANA, Calif. — Shruti Miyashiro is coming home to Orange County's Credit Union.

Miyashiro will take over as president/CEO in early November, replacing retiring CEO Judy McCartney. Miyashiro was formerly OCCU's VP of Human Resources and president of the $863 million institution's CUSO.

Miyashiro is has been president/CEO of $118 million Pasadena Federal Credit Union since March 2004, and has been actively involved in Western CUNA Management School and the California Credit Union League.

Outgoing CEO Judy McCartney reflected on the fact that Miyashiro is approximately the same age McCartney was when she took over as Orange County's chief executive.

"I told her all she has to do is grow the credit union to 10 times its size," McCartney said with a laugh, referring to the growth OCCU has achieved under her leadership.

"But in all seriousness, I know she'll do a great job," she said.
