SALEM, Ore. — Coming off of a year and a half of retirement, Shirley Arends has returned to become the new president/CEO of IBEW/SJ Cascade Federal Credit Union.
Arends has more than 20 years of credit union industry experience having managed several Salem-based credit unions including Statesman Journal FCU, Food Industries CU and was CEO and CFO for Roth's Employees FCU for 13 years until it merged with IBEW in January 2006.
The $9.6 million credit union serves nearly 3,800 members.
