ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Joining a growing list within the credit union industry, PSCU Financial Services is the latest to contribute a donation to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project.

PSCU Financial donated $10,000 towards the $100 million fundraising goal to build a memorial to honor King's legacy. The African-American Credit Union Coalition is encouraging the credit union industry to raise $2 million. Scheduled for completion in 2009, the King memorial will be the first to honor an African-American on the National Mall in Washington.

"All of our employees are proud to be a part of building this memorial to honor Dr. King's contribution to equality for all Americans regardless of race and to the advancement of civil rights in this country. We have a longstanding relationship with the AACUC and we actively support their initiatives," said David Serlo, president/CEO, PSCU Financial.
