DALLAS — TNB Card Services, the credit card processing arm of credit union-owned Town North Bank, has looked to a major bank for its latest executive. The organization, announced it has hired Phil Davis, most recently a senior vice president with Citigroup's Credit Services Division, as senior vice president with TNB.

Davis' responsibilities will include focusing on cardholder operations such as credit underwriting, member servicing fraud, collections and recovery and compliance, TNB said.

At Citigroup, Davis was a senior vice president in the Citicorp Credit Services division. There he was responsible for building and directing the team that supported the Home Depot's commercial credit business. He has also held executive positions in the card services division of Bank of America and the outsourcing division of NCO Financial Systems.

TNB said Davis has played an integral role in the credit industry. He was a charter member of the Bankruptcy Issues Council, which spearheaded bankruptcy reform, has served as a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit Advisory Council, and on the Board of Directors for the Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Virginia.

For his part, Davis said that he was attracted to TNB because of its clear vision, leadership position, and culture. “TNB has a rich history in the credit union movement. It also has a stellar reputation for providing superior service and products to clients, and is now focused on further improving its core capabilities,” Davis said. He added that he looks forward to strengthening card operations and working within the credit union industry.
