MILFORD, Conn. — A CU in Connecticut without an ATM of its own will start offering its members fee-free ATM access through Allpoint.

The $10 million Milford Federal Credit Union made the local edition of the Connecticut Post when it announced its deal with the Allpoint Network, a nationwide ATM network which is a subsidiary of Cardtronics, the nation's largest independent service organization ATM deployer.

With Allpoint, the CU's more than 1,900 members will be able to access ATMs nationwide without paying a surcharge while the CU will pay a monthly fee to Allpoint for the service. The CU does not have its own ATM, but issues Visa branded checklink cards which serve as ATM cards.
