MADISON, Wis. — A leading information technology magazine called CIO has recognized CUNA Mutual Group as a leader in information technology. Being named to the CIO100 means the magazine recognizes CUNA Mutual as exemplifying the "highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology," the insurer said.
This is the third time in the last four years that the insurer has been recognized, CMG added.
"TheCIO 100 award recipients serve as industry role models for business and IT excellence," said Abbie Lundberg, editor in chief of CIOmagazine. "This year's winners demonstrate extraordinary results in a variety of important areas, including business transformation, collaboration, customer innovation and top line contributions."
The insurer said it received this award for the development and implementation of its Claims Express project. This specialized claims processing solution has resulted in a 75% decrease in claims process payment backlogs and an increase in automatic payments by 30%, the insurer said.
