ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The $327 million La Capitol Federal Credit Union has signed up with PSCU Financial Services for processing both its credit and debit programs.

La Capitol is the fourth largest CU in Louisiana and PSCU Financial Services serves over 500 credit unions that use the First Data Corp. platform for their card transactions.

The move will bring 25,000 debit cards, which are validated with personal identification numbers or signatures, to the processors debit rewards program and 11,000 ATM cards. The move will also bring 8,000 card accounts to PSCU's credit card programs.

“Our credit union is moving from an in-house environment to PSCU Financial Services full-service offering,” said Michael Hooper, the credit union's executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“The cooperative's feature-rich platform and 24 x 7 Contact Center support will equip us to deliver a more competitive offering for our members. Its expertise in risk management, chargeback processing and compliance requirements will also make our platforms much more efficient and member-friendly,” he added in a prepared statement.
