WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Carol White has been named president of Central Missouri Community Credit Union.

White succeeds Richard Orr, who served as president of the credit union for 25 years. Orr retired at the end of June.

"Working with Richard Orr was a wonderful experience," said White. "He taught me not only the financial end of the credit union but also the philosophy of serving our members, helping them build a better quality of life. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue improving the quality of life in the communities we serve."

White served as the credit union's vice president/chief financial officer before being named president.

She began her career at the credit union in 1983 as a bookkeeper, and served in various positions including vice president of accounting. She is a graduate of the CUNA Financial Management School and was the recipient of several scholarships from the Missouri Credit Union Association.

She is past president of the West Central Chapter of Credit Unions and has served on the boards of the United Way of Johnson County, the Johnson County R-VII Board of Education and the University of Missouri Extension Council.
