HONOLULU — Growth and membership expansion at Honolulu City & County Employees Federal Credit Union prompted the financial institution's new name: Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union.

The $417 million credit union's new moniker became effective July 1.

"Our new name reflects the growth we have experienced since our founding 70 years ago," said Wallace Watanabe, president/CEO. "In recent years, we have opened new branches and introduced new services and product lines. These changes have been made to accommodate our growing membership of city and county employees, their families and other members from our community."
