NEW ORLEANS — Clifford Rosenthal, the executive director of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, has been honored with the naming of a new community center in a part of New Orleans hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.
The decision was made by the $266 million ASI Federal Credit Union and its nonprofit community development affiliate, A Shared Initiative.
"We chose to name the center after Cliff as a symbol of all the Federation has done, not only for ASI and its non-profit affiliate, but for all community development credit unions," said ASI FCU Senior Vice President Sarah Taylor. "If not for Cliff, ASI wouldn't be where it is today, particularly after Hurricane Katrina."
