WASHINGTON — The House Committee on Small Business was scheduled to hold a hearing June 14 entitled "Strengthening SBA's Micro-lending Initiatives," to review the value of these initiatives to small businesses.

Testimony was scheduled to be heard from Janet Tasker, deputy associate administrator for capital Access for the Small Business Administration; Lisa Servon, associate professor, Milano the New School for Management and Urban Policy; Daniel Betancourt, CEO of Community First Fund, speaking on behalf of the Association for Enterprise Opportunity; Elaine Edgcomb, director of the FIELD Study–The Aspen Institute; and Edward "Champ" Hall, owner of Champ Hall's Barber Shop and Barber College.
