NEW ORLEANS–NCUA Board Member Gigi Hyland said NCUA's Outreach Task Force, which she chairs, learned a good deal from the task force meeting in New Orleans yesterday.

"With the third town hall meeting being completed, the Outreach Task Force is becoming well equipped with excellent information gained firsthand from the credit union community," stated Board Member Hyland. However, she assured that no decisions have been made so all input is still welcome.

At the meetings, participants are placed at tables to discuss different issues like NCUA programs and processes to encourage outreach and data collection on member income. "The format of these meetings is ideal for the attendees to share their voice about these important issues and allows NCUA to listen attentively and apply what the agency is hearing," Hyland commented. "As we conclude with the final three meetings, the Task Force will certainly have quality input to apply to our deliberations."
