COLUMBIA, S.C. — Palmetto State credit unions have elected one new director and six incumbents to the South Carolina Credit Union League Board, including MTC Federal Credit Union President/CEO William H. "Bill" Love Jr., who was named chairman.

Election results were announced at the April 21 business session of the SCCUL & Affiliates 2007 Annual Meeting in Myrtle Beach.

New to the board is Mike Taylor, chairman at Palmetto Trust Federal Credit Union of Columbia.

Re-elected incumbents are: Faye Crocker, CEO of Greater Abbeville FCU, Abbeville; Isaac Dickson, chairman of Carolina Foothills FCU, Spartanburg; Paul Hughes, president of Greenville FCU, Greenville; Eric Jenkins, president of Palmetto Health CU, Columbia; Brad Rustin, president/CEO of Charleston Area FCU, Charleston; and Ed Templeton, president of SRP FCU, North Augusta.

Joining Love on the new executive committee are: Linda Weatherford, first vice chairman; Scott Woods, second vice chairman; Crocker, secretary; and Templeton, treasurer. Former Chairman Lee C. Gardner Jr. remains an ex officio member of the executive committee, as is Garry L. Parks.

Of the 86 league member credit unions, 52 sent ballots to independent accounting firm Cantey, Tiller, Pierce, & Green, LLP.
