WASHINGTON — Brian Tate has left the Maryland & D.C. Credit Union Association to join CUNA.

In his new position at CUNA as director of state advocacy, he will manage relationships with state governmental associations like the National Conference of State Legislatures. He will report to CUNA State Government Affairs Vice President Chris Johnson.

Tate previously served as government affairs manager for MDDCCUA, as well as on the legislative staffs of Congressman Max Sandlin (D-Texas) and Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.). He also interned in the Office of the First Lady under Hillary Clinton.
