PASADENA, Calif. — Wescom Credit Union has promoted credit union technology veteran John Best to the newly created position of vice president and chief technology officer at the $3.8 billion CU.
Best joined Wescom about three years ago to work with Wescom Resources Group, and had been its director of technology. In his new position, he will lead all product planning and development for WRG and manage its implementation team.
Kevin Sarber, WRG president, says Best has been instrumental in helping WRG grow its client list to more than 100 credit unions, providing a range of solutions that include bill pay, online banking, disaster recovery services and Symitar key hosting.
Best, who now joins Wescom's executive team and reports to Sarber, came to WRG from GTE Federal Credit Union and will continue to be based in Tampa, Fla.
