CINCINNATI — Design/build firm DEI has been recognized as one of the 55 fastest-growing private companies in the region by The Cincinnati Business Courier.

Out of the 15-county Greater Cincinnati region, DEI ranked 39 in the Fast 55. Cited in the magazine was DEI's revenue growth, which increased 67% over the last few years. DEI was also a Fast 50 recipient in 2004. Some five years ago, the firm's strategic business plan was to target 1,000 financial institutions, out of the 18,000 identified as most likely to have the need for DEI's unique financial design and turnkey building services. The plan was to introduce that targeted group to strong innovative retail merchandising concepts that would increase their business and, in turn, become an Elite Business Partner with DEI.

According to DEI, the strategy has helped increase business approximately 25%. Currently 73% of all of DEI's business is with Elite Business Partners.
