LAS VEGAS — The $170 million Cumorah Credit Union, with a membership tied to the Mormon Church of Nevada, has completed a Dec. 31 merger of the $27 million Kolob Credit Union in nearby Henderson, which also is linked to the church.

“We believe this is the best way to serve all of the LDS members in the Henderson area,” said a Cumorah news release. Cumorah has six branches in Las Vegas and Reno with Kolob just one.

Cumorah, which is planning an additional Las Vegas branch this year, said this is the first CU merger it has undertaken.
