ELKHART, Ind. — Bayer Federal Credit Union felt the time was right to make a change that would reflect its broader membership.
On Jan. 1, the $251 million credit union changed its moniker to Inova Federal Credit Union. Originally chartered in 1942, the financial institution operated as a division of Michiana Credit Union and as Bayer Federal Credit Union. It now serves more than 35,000 members through branches in seven states. It also counts several hundred select employee groups among its member base.
The credit union said the name change was due because it felt "it was time for our name to reflect our expansion."
