WASHINGTON — Three prominent female bankers associated with the three major banking trade associations have been named to fill an open spot on the Federal Reserve Board.

According to a report in the Oct. 27 Wall Street Journal, those under consideration for the Federal Reserve Board vacancy include North Dakota's CountryBank USA President Terry Jorde, current chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America; Virginia's TowneBank President Elizabeth Duke, a past chairman of the American Bankers Association; and America's Community Bankers President and CEO Diane Casey-Landry.

The Journal said that "industry watchers" expect a decision to come after the elections.
