CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union has now been offering online bill pay for five years and about 1,300 active bill payers are using the service as the adoption pace continues to pick up, the CU says.
Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st Airborne Division, the U.S. Army's famed "Screaming Eagles."
About 7,000 of the $230 million credit union's members are online bankers and the number using the bill pay option has been increasing as more of the CU's members are spending time overseas.

"A vast number of our members must manage their banking remotely as they serve in our country's military wherever they are needed," said Tom Kane, president and CEO.
The scheduled payment and recurring payments features ensure that mortgages and other loans, as well as insurance, utilities and other bills, are automatically paid on time.
Pay Technologies of Elizabethtown, Ky., provides the bill pay services to Fort Campbell FCU and its support center serves as an extension of the credit union's own call center, the 1,100-client company says.
The credit union first began marketing bill pay to specific groups in its SEG in 2001. In August 2005, it began offering the service to all members. The service is free for those using the service twice a month or more. The fee is $5 per month for those using it less than that.
