WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Pacific Service Credit Union's Leadership Development Program has been named the third best for small to mid-size organizations in North America by Leadership Excellence Magazine.
"Our organization is thrilled to receive national recognition for our leadership development efforts," said Pacific Service CU President Tom Smigielski. "The investment we have made in our 100 employees has returned great dividends to our organization and to our members." The magazine surveyed 600 U.S.-based organizations to determine the top 100 leadership programs. Components of the leadership program at Pacific Service include developmental plans for each employee, new employee orientation sessions presented by company officers, a promotion from within policy, tuition reimbursement, succession plans, management planning meetings, line of business reporting, quarterly goal reporting, sales and service training, CUNA school, and annual evaluations of employee performance.
Leadership Excellence Magazine rates programs based on the following: vision/mission, involvement/participation, accountability/measurement, content/curriculum, take-home value/results for customers, presenters/presentations, and outreach of the programs and products.
