CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Central Macomb Community Credit Union is gearing up for the holiday season by asking its members to donate to its "Phone Home for the Holidays" promotion, which purchases AT&T International Calling Cards for military personnel serving in Iraq.

For every loan closed throughout the campaign, Central Macomb Community Credit Union is donating $5.00 to the cause.

"Each person who receives one of these cards is going to get 200 minutes of time to spend 'voice to voice' with their loved ones via the telephone this holiday season," explained Drema Isaac, president/CEO of the CMCCU. "We feel this is the best gift we can give to them–some quality time with their families."

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 9. Each calling card costs approximately $15 and the minimum donation amount is $1. The Moral, Welfare, and Recreation division of the Army Garrison at Selfridge Air National Guard Base is working with CMCCU to ensure the cards are delivered to the those most in need.

Members serving at Selfridge Air National Guard Base founded the now $95 million credit union nearly 50 years ago.
