TAMPA and MIRAMAR, Fla. — Only two credit unions have made The Principal's 10 Best Companies for Employee Financial Security–Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union and GTE Federal Credit Union.

According to The Principal Financial Group, companies selected are at the forefront of not only providing strong benefits, but also finding ways to make benefits more meaningful to their employees, ultimately contributing to long-term financial security.

Eastern Financial was singled out for its commitment to health care insurance, wellness programs and retirement savings.

Individuals make job choices and make life choices because of them. This recognition tells the community, current employees and job prospects that this is an employer of choice," said Dallas Salisbury, president/CEO, Employee Benefit Research Institute and judging panel member.

Key trends among this year's winners range from an expanded commitment to wellness programs and more autopilot retirement savings options, to a growing focus on retirement income security and stronger education and workplace guidance.
