Keesler Federal Credit Union, Biloxi, Miss., recently recognized employees for outstanding service at its 2006 Employee Meeting. Bonnie Mayo, assistant bookkeeper, received the President’s Award for the Administrative Office Division. Winner of the President’s Award for the Branch Operations Division was Gina Esque, a financial services representative at the Picayune branch. Sheila Cheek received the Executive Award for Branch Operations in recognition of her leadership and management qualities as branch manager. Donna Dislavo was honored with the Executive Award for the Administrative Office Division. Mike Graham as webmaster with the marketing department was honored as the 2004 New Employee of the New Year and Stefanie Taylor, a teller at the Homeport branch was named as the 2005 New Employee of the Year. Members of State Employees’ Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., recently earned statewide recognition for their community service programs at the North Carolina Credit Union League’s 71st annual meeting. SECU won the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award statewide competition. The award recognizes and promotes credit unions’ social responsibility efforts within the communities they serve. SECU competed in the $500 million+ asset category. The committee praised the work of the SECU Foundation, which funds high impact projects in the areas of housing, education, health care and human services. Spectrum Federal Credit Union, San Francisco, was presented with a Community Partners plaque from Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly. The award stems from Spectrum’s four years of involvement with LBFE’s annual bowl-a-thon for seniors. Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly is an international volunteer-based organization providing outreach, advocacy, companionship and social opportunities to isolated seniors.
