Global Credit Union’s Tri-Cities Financial Center, Spokane, Wash., celebrated its grand opening by hosting a reception and ribbon cutting. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Global donated the ribbon, made out of U.S. paper currency in the amount of $300, to the Tri-Cities United Way. On-hand for the event were community business leaders and officials from the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce. Carlsbad City Credit Union, San Diego, a division of Cabrillo Credit Union, has opened a new branch in an office behind the Carlsbad Fire Station. The new location replaces the former branch and offers much larger retail space and ample parking. The more accessible branch is only two doors down from its previous site. DuPont Fibers Federal Credit Union, Richmond, Va., celebrated the grand opening of its fourth full-service member center located in Midlothian with a formal ribbon cutting. The new member center is an inviting, family-oriented facility with a concierge station to help direct members, nontraditional teller spaces, private offices, a computer to access the Internet, a free coffee station, child’s play area and a retail display area. DFFCU members, employees, volunteers and representatives from the local chamber and newspaper partook in the celebration. Members enjoyed giveaways, door prizes and refreshments throughout the day.
