VACAVILLE, Calif. — Travis Credit Union views member appreciation as a yearlong effort, more than just an event.
Credit union execs here say it is important to demonstrate the credit union difference of caring to members every day. At Travis CU, providing consistent excellent service is yet another opportunity to shine and show the value of membership.
It must be working because the readers of two local newspapers have recently recognized Travis CU as an exceptional service provider.

The credit union also takes the time to discover what members want and value in terms of giveaways. Travis CU gifts range from providing member discounts to a variety of festivals, amusement parks and other community events, to new free calendars after Thanksgiving.
In addition, the credit union gets involved in the counties it serves as staffers frequently donate not just money, but their time to make a difference in the community whether it is donating blood or raising funds for a charitable organization.
While there is an emphasis on yearlong efforts, Travis CU still sets aside a day for "Member Appreciation." This year's Member Appreciation Day event will be wrapped into its International Credit Union Week festivities.
