BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — Affinity Federal Credit Union Senior Vice President Strategy, Business Development and Human Resources David Snodgrass has not only recently been honored as a member of NJBIZ Magazine's Forty Under 40 Class of 2006, but is also a member of industry think tank the Filene i3 Group.

Produced by NJBIZ Magazine, the Forty Under 40 awards program recognizes 40 of New Jersey's most dynamic business leaders who are under the age of 40. These are men and women who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community.

As one of 28 rising credit union executives invited to join the Filene Research Institute and the Center for Credit Union Innovation i3 Group, Snodgrass will serve a three-year term as part of a group that identifies and evaluates potential and recent credit union innovations.

“David exemplifies Affinity's commitment to continual professional development and service excellence,” said AFCU President/CEO John Fenton. “We take great pride in the fact that our organizational culture encourages our managers and employees to strive for personal and professional growth, and we honor their commitments to do so.”

In his current position, Snodgrass oversees strategy and business development, which includes marketing, e-commerce, member/business development and political affairs. He is also responsible for human resources, as well as training and development through the Affinity Learning Institute, an in-house professional development effort.

Snodgrass sits on the boards of Affinity Financial Services, LLC, and CUMAnet (The Credit Union Mortgage Alliance Network). He is a member of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions Legislative Committee, treasurer of the NJ Council of the Credit Union Executives Society, and achieved certified chief executive status from the CUES CEO Institute.
