SEATTLE — As the movement prepares to usher in the next generation of CEOs, the AACUC is doing its part to bring more of them to credit unions through its internship programs.

Nearly 20 interns that have gone through the program have either gone on to work full time or have worked at credit unions, according to Bert Hash, chair of the AACUC internship committee and president/CEO of Municipal Employees CU of Baltimore, Inc. This summer, 40 interns were placed including Myisha Henry, who just landed a position in human resources at State Employees CU of Maryland. Henry also received offers from MECU of Baltimore and Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU, but went with SECU because it offered her more flexibility in the HR department.
