ROSEBURG, Ore. — Members recently brought more than 4,000 pounds of documents containing personal information for Cascade Community Credit Union's shred day.
More than 75 members participated in the identity theft protection event. According to the credit union, some people were shredding 30 years worth of information.
Cascade Community said it plans to provide free shredding at least once or twice a year from now on. A local company, Iron Mountain Shred, handled the massive shredding.
