Spokane Federal Credit Union, Spokane, Wash., recently volunteered to help make a special education fishing field trip a success. Eight SFCU employees prepared 100 lunches for the participants of the annual Bear Lake Fishing Trip for the special needs children of Central Valley School District. While Spokane Valley Firefighters fished with the children, the SFCU volunteers prepared peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit roll ups, chips, apple sauce, cookies, bottled water, and a favorite addition of slinkies and money pencils. A grant from the Washington Credit Union League covered most of the cost for the lunch items and any extra lunches will be donated to local food banks.
